My two projects highlight the subject of inclusive disability where the narrative does not revolve around the main characters individual disability. These projects were a joy to work on and I hope to carry on working alongside the disabled community to promote inclusivity and diversity in children’s picture books 🤍

I am soo thankful for all the tutors, classmates, friends and most importantly my family for being soo supportive and encouraging on this course!
I have enjoyed my time on this course tremendously and could not of wished for a better group of classmates, who I cannot wait to exhibite beside next year! 🫶🏼🫶🏼

After 13 long weeks, I finally handed in my third module children’s dummy book! Inspired by my sister Catherine to create a story that informs, inspires and explores having a child who has Down Syndrome.

Children picture books about Down Syndrome is sparse and most use outdated language and ideals. All disability’s should have correct representation in any form of literature/media.

I was super lucky to have all the help from my friends and family, who supported, helped and gave me invaluable advice. 🫶🏼🤍
